The Lakes Distillery has done something quite unusual here, and finished its The ONE blended whisky in casks which previously held orange wine! Orange wine is pretty much what is sounds like, white wine macerated with orange peel, known as ’Vino de Naranja’ from Huelva in Andalucía. First-fill American oak casks were seasoned with said wine, and used to finish the whisky. Just 2,994 bottles of the zesty spirit were released at 46.6% ABV.
