Aberlour from the year 2000! Bottled by German indie bottler Malts of Scotland, this Aberlour was aged in a single bourbon hogshead from 2000 to 2015, before it was bottled at 46% ABV. 318 bottles were produced.
Aberlour 2000 (bottled 2015) (cask 15050) – 46 Range (Malts of Scotland)
Nose: Yellow plums macerated in honey, bushels of apples and a hint of nutty malt.
Palate: More honey on the palate, beeswax, lemon drops and diced almonds.
Finish: Oily malt, grassy fields and peach.
