It’s batch seven of Adelphi’s toasty Glenborrodale blended malt. The nine year old marries a whole host of tasty malt whiskies from various distilleries, with lots of baked goods in the flavour profile. Batch No.7 is a release of 738 bottles.
Nose: Mint chocolate sponge cake, with cookie dough, lemon drizzle cake and raspberry jam. Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, a dash of citrus and some sherried fruit.
Palate: Orange chocolate, Victoria sponge with strawberry jam and buttered, toasted brioche.
Finish: Cherry jam and honey, with a dash of pink grapefruit.
