A tasty collaborative bottling between The Whisky Agency and Thompson Bros., released for the 20th anniversary of the Dornoch Castle Hotel’s whisky bar. This well-aged Ardmore single malt was distilled in 1998 and bottled with an outturn of just 162 bottles at 21 years old.
Nose: Toasted barley, soft vanilla fudge, frangipane and ground cinnamon.
Palate: Very slightly meaty, but maintains well-rounded notes of apple tart and hazelnut spread.
Finish: Sultana, almond again, still a touch of flaky pastry underneath.
