A 24 year old Auchroisk, distilled back in February 1994 and left to mature until August 2018. Following that, Hunter Laing bottled it up for the long-running Old Malt Cask range. In fact, this one was released as part of a celebration for Old Malt Cask’s 20th anniversary! Just 282 bottles were produced.
Nose: Freshly saw pine, nutty barley and touches of cinnamon.
Palate: Grassy as it opens, but soon enough notes of green apple and honey arrive. Quite nutty later on.
Finish: Enjoyably savoury with oak, new leather and walnut.
