The horse atop the Blanton’s bottle is almost as recognisable as the wonderful single barrel bourbon. Almost is obviously the major word in that last sentence, as Blanton’s make some bloomin’ brilliant bourbon. This bottling comes from cask 32, matured in Warehouse H, as always.
Nose: Cigar box and spice, vanilla, crème caramel.
Palate: Hints of chilli and sweet vanilla, a little maple syrup, corn and spices.
Finish: Medium, with honey, cinnamon and burnt peels lingering.
