This is a single barrel bourbon from the excellent Blanton’s range. Not only that, this one has been bottled at cask strength without any chill-filtration or additional colours – this one came from barrel #921 and was bottled at 64.1% ABV.
Blanton’s Straight From The Barrel – Barrel 921
Nose: Toasted oak and flamed orange peel, followed by hearty helpings of red chilli and cinnamon.
Palate: More charred oak on the palate, balanced by toffee popcorn, banana chips and allspice. Oily at points.
Finish: Long and well-spiced.
