A Swedish single malt whisky from the Box range – their Explorer expression was mostly matured in bourbon casks, but was treated to a finishing period in Swedish oak casks!
Box Single Malt Explorer
Nose: Earthy, woody peat rises first, shortly followed by fresh apple and blackberry.
Palate: Still rich and smoky. The fruit continues to develop, now slightly tropical and zesty. A hint of milk chocolate, too.
Finish: Sugary chocolate and vanilla-y barley.
