The Clynelish distillery in the Highlands region of Scotland filled a refill butt with their single malt Scotch whisky in October 1996. In June 2017, over 20 years later, the cask was emptied and the whisky was bottled by Signatory without chill-filtration. It’s a story with a tasty ending.
Nose: Caramel sweetness. Hints of pine resin, red apple, fresh herbs and orange zest.
Palate: Thick, oily palate. Malty with crème caramel and caffè latte.
Finish: Herbal, spicy, sweet finish.
