We’ve gone and independently bottled a cracking cask of Irish single malt whiskey from the Cooley distillery! This was distilled in September 1999 and allowed to mature in a first-fill bourbon hogshead for 17 years before we bottled it in January 2017. More yummy Irish whiskey for Jake to stare at longingly as it gets shipped out the door to our lovely customers…
Nose: Soft, creamy and approachable – even at 52.9% ABV. Buttered crumpets, honeydew melon and Tunnock’s Teacakes.
Palate: Foam Bananas, Rhubarb & Custard sweets and white chocolate. A hint of fresh plum brings depth.
Finish: Honey’d porridge and a lingering refreshing note of mint ice-cream.
