This indie bottling of Dufftown single malt comes from the Connoisseurs Choice range, manned by the brilliant folks at Gordon & MacPhail. It was distilled in 2004 and matured in refill bourbon barrels until it was bottled in 2014.
Dufftown 2004 (bottled 2014) – Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & Macphail)
Nose: Fragrant plum, pear and lime notes, with a centre of malt and honey.
Palate: Fruity sweetness up front, followed by lingering spice.
Finish: Quite short.
