This single malt from the Dufftown distillery was distilled in 2008 and matured in an ex-bourbon cask, before it was finished in a former sherry cask. It was then bottled in 2017 from a single cask for the Spirit & Cask Range, with an outturn of just 360 bottles.
Nose: Candied nuts, zesty orange peel and cedar notes rise through a little furniture polish.
Palate: With rich barley malt there’s brown sugar, seedless raisins and hazelnuts. Freshly cut grass and fizzy oak spices form the backdrop.
Finish: The orange returns and is joined by more brown sugar.
