From Gordon & MacPhail’s extensive Connoisseurs Choice bottling range comes a 2008 vintage single malt from the Dufftown distillery, aged in refill Sherry hogsheads until 2017. You really don’t see enough bottlings of Dufftown, we reckon.
Dufftown 2008 (bottled 2017) – Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail)
Nose: Fragrant barley and floral rose. Sultanas and malt loaf follow.
Palate: Salted caramel and milk chocolate, cooked fruit and sawdust.
Finish: Lingering waxy orange peel and cardamom.
