A beautiful Laphroaig from the Un-Chillfiltered collection from Signatory, distilled on the 12th May 1998, aged in hogsheads 5562 and 5563 and bottled on the 30th May 2012. A release of 664 numbered bottles.
Laphroaig 14 Year Old 1998 – Un-Chillfiltered (Signatory)
Nose: A curious mix of orange blossom, coal tar and creosote on the nose. Hints of cinnamon, black treacle and stewed apples.
Palate: Malty and rounded palate, with linseed oil, hints of TCP, dark chocolate and apple strudel, with a development of burning rubber.
Finish: A rubbery, smoky finish.
