Independently bottled 25 year old single malt from the Longmorn distillery, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. If you had a snoop around the distillery in Speyside region, you might be surprised to find a workable steam engine in there! Unless you can tell the future and knew that you’d find the steam engine. Then you wouldn’t be so surprised. Way to ruin the surprise. A release of 84 bottles. ‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts, blends and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.
Longmorn 25 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
Nose: Green apples, white chocolate, caramel shortbread. Soon enough, there’s an intriguing hint of chicken crisps and thyme honey (which go rather well together).
Palate: Fruit salad, with grapes, oranges, cantaloupe and more apples. Hoppy beer, buttered bread and grist.
Finish: Oily hops once again, now with porridge oats and a drizzle of almond liqueur.
