Lp9 from the Elements of Islay range features single malt from a particularly popular Islay distillery (you might be able to figure out which one from its name) matured in a Pedro Ximénez sherry butt, then bottled at cask strength. A great juxtaposition between heavy peat salinity and rich sherried sweetness.
Nose: Brandied cherries, TCP, menthol and smoke.
Palate: Sea salt and kippers, dark chocolate, continued medicinal peat and fresh red fruit.
Finish: Drying smoke and coastal air linger.
