In 2004, the Mackmyra distillery started using the disused Boda°s mine as their main warehouse (which makes a nice change from simply a big building full of barrels). The Tolv expression from Mackmyra’s Moment series is made with some of the first casks which were moved into the Boda°s mine, 50 metres below ground!
Nose: Toasted oak and leather, with layers of creamy vanilla and chocolate biscuits.
Palate: Oodles of vanilla and caramelised nuts. A hint of leafy coriander develops.
Finish: Quite peppery, but with enough brown sugar sweetness to balance it out.
