This is a rare independent bottling of single grain Scotch whisky from the closed Port Dundas distillery. It was distilled back in March 1991 and left to mature in a hogshead cask until March 2016, when it was bottled by Signatory for the Cask Strength Collection. 284 bottles were produced, presented at a generous 60.3% ABV.
Nose: Golden syrup, grapefruit and orange peels, anise and vanilla pod.
Palate: Developing notes of baked goods and fresh orchard fruits. A bit of brown sugar and more citrus.
Finish: Caramel lasts on the finish.
