This single malt hails from the Pulteney Distillery, and was produced in the Highlands in 1999. The liquid was left in a refill sherry butt for just shy of two decades, and in July 2019 it was bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 19 years old. 554 cask strength bottles were released for the ever-wonderful Connoisseurs Choice series at 56.5% ABV.
Nose: Freshly buttered hot cross buns, with milk chocolate praline and sherried dried fruit.
Palate: Mulled spices and peppery oak, with honeycomb and cooked berries.
Finish: Spiced dark chocolate and macaroons.
