An independently bottled single malt from the Bunnahabhain distillery on the north-east of Islay. It’s a 1997 vintage, matured in a single hogshead until 2015, when it was bottled by the wonderful Wemyss folks. They’ve given this one the title ’Sizzling Charcoal’, as a little hint as to its flavour profile. 216 bottles were produced.
Nose: Smoke, vanilla cream and whispers of fresh citrus.
Palate: A beach-side BBQ and lemon sweeties.
Finish: Continued sugary sweetness with a little touch of sea breeze.
