Extraordinarily old Irish whiskey from the Teeling Whiskey Company. This Platinum edition of their Vintage Reserve Collection features 30 year old(!), single malt, double distilled whiskey that was matured in a single bourbon cask. A simply jaw-dropping achievement in Irish whiskey. Only 250 bottles were produced.
Nose: Nectarines, peaches, grapes and a handful of Starburst sweeties. Very refreshing for a 30 year old.
Palate: Syrup-covered pancakes with fresh fruit thrown on the top (blueberries and more nectarines). Scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam.
Finish: Peaches again. Rolos and white chocolate.
