A rather delicious-sounding independently bottled Clynelish here from Wemyss Malts – ’Waffles and Ice Cream’! It was distilled in 1997, aged in a single hogshead cask and bottled in 2015 with an outturn of 274 bottles.
Waffles and Ice Cream 1997 (bottled 2015) – Wemyss Malts (Clynelish)
Nose: Thick vanilla and marmalade, with a little hint of lightly-toasted brown bread.
Palate: Golden syrup, fresh malt, salted farmhouse butter and orange.
Finish: Quite herbal, with a spicy touch of black pepper.
