The boss among WhistlePig’s range of rye whiskies is The Boss Hog, a yearly release from the brand. The 2014 release is a 13 year old single barrel rye, bottled at cask strength. This particular bottle came from cask #63 and was bottled at 58.6% ABV. Also, the 2014 release was dubbed ’The Spirit of Mortimer’, named for the company’s mascot that sadly passed away – as such, the topper features Mortimer with his arms outstretch, ascending to the sky.
