Independently bottled by Wemyss, this single cask Glen Elgin single malt Scotch whisky has been given a descriptive and slightly whimsical name, as Wemyss does with all of their bottlings. This tasty whisky is called ’Eastern Promise’. The single cask was filled in 1995 and emptied in 2013 with an outturn of 363 bottles.
Nose: Sweet, earthy notes of rose and mint, followed by toffee and barley. Subtly spiced.
Palate: More chewy toffee notes. Golden barley, citrus and oak.
Finish: Sweet and fresh.
