A well-known and particularly punchy bourbon from Heaven Hill, boasting quite a name indeed. It previously had an age statement, but in recent years it has lost it. Never-the-less, it remains a good bourbon for sipping neat, and the higher-than-usual ABV makes it a good choice for cocktails, too.
Nose: Spiced aromas – creamy fresh vanilla, a little stewed fruit, melted butter and oak.
Palate: Molasses, Demerara sugar and cereal sweetness. Becomes rich with butterscotch and cedar.
Finish: Cinnamon pastries and golden syrup.
