An indie bottling of 21 year old Bowmore, drawn from a single refill hogshead. Said cask was laid down in 1996 and cracked open in 2017 by Hunter Laing for the First Editions range, producing 199 bottles of tasty Islay single malt.
Bowmore 21 Year Old 1996 (cask 14175) – The First Editions (Hunter Laing)
Nose: Polished oak, seaweed, candle wax and dried parsley.
Palate: Sweeter on the palate, with notes of fresh apricot and marmalade. Still hand a salty tang to it.
Finish: Lingering white chocolate and raspberry hints alongside cedar.
