It’s batch 62 of Aberlour’s very popular A’Bunadh single malt! These whiskies are matured in Spanish Oloroso sherry butts and bottled at cask strength, resulting in a particularly full-bodied and flavoursome dram. Fun fact: the rhombicosidodecahedron has 62 sides. It’s a complex shape. .
Nose: Clove, white pepper, chocolate raisin and malt loaf.
Palate: More malt loaf, though now paired with stewed plum and raw cinnamon.
Finish: Christmas spices and a touch of tobacco.
