This is a rather intriguing bourbon from the Black Maple Hill range, which was produced in Oregon – not exactly the first place you think of when you think of bourbon! The result is unique and tasty indeed, showcasing plenty of earthy sweetness and waxy fruit notes.
Nose: Vanilla pod, freshly cut wood, hay and cantaloupe.
Palate: Brown sugar and cinnamon, with hints of cooked apple underneath.
Finish: A lingering warmth of clove and sawdust.
