A Master of Malt exclusive independently bottled whisky from Càrn Mòr’s Celebration of the Cask range – and it’s a very tasty dram indeed! This is a 24 year old Clynelish, distilled in October 1993 and matured in a single bourbon barrel until it was bottled in October 2018 (just one day before its 25th birthday!). Only 88 bottles were produced, presented at cask strength.
Nose: Buttery malt and dried apricot at first, before a good helping of cut herbs and roasted coffee notes develop.
Palate: Waxy peels and more coffee, now with a hint of Turkish delight. Touches of smoky tea and mahogany.
Finish: Lemon verbena, peppercorn, lingering salinity.
