Another fantastic Wemyss Malts independently bottled whisky here, this time from the renowned Bowmore distillery on Islay. It was distilled in 1996 and left to age in a hogshead cask until 2015, when it was bottled 46% ABV, producing 269 bottles.
Nose: Sweet ’n’ peaty, with sugar-dusted peels and fruity boiled sweeties.
Palate: More peat develops here, slightly coastal. Still has plenty of fruit notes all the way through.
Finish: Handsomely balanced and satisfying.
