This right here is the peatiest whisky to date from the fantastic Compass Box – No Name. A massively smoky blended malt, packing more peat than their own expression! Massively interesting and hugely delicious.
Compass Box No Name
Nose: Tarry ropes and engine oil, with hints of stewed plum and a kick of citrus zest.
Palate: Pow! Loads and loads of earthy, woodsy smoke. Slightly Sherried notes underneath add a slightly balancing sweetness.
Finish: Brown sugar, cinnamon and continuing waves of smoke.
