Peaty, Sherried single malt from the English Whisky Co., presented in a similar fashion to their handsome and expressions. A particular punchy instalment from their many Chapters.
English Whisky Co. Chapter 16 (bottled 2017)
Nose: Sherry arrives first, followed by notes of milk chocolate buttons. A suggestion of peat, but it’s not all there quite yet.
Palate: Intense Fino-style notes – sweet, but with a kick of sea salt in the background. Caramelised dates and ginger snaps, too.
Finish: Lingering wood smoke lasts.
