Chapter 17 of The English Whisky Co.’s expressions puts an interesting production technique front and center – triple distillation. Usually preformed by Irish and Lowland Scotch distilleries, the English Whisky Co. have given it a go with their own English single malt whisky. this bottling also features the new bottle shape and label design to match their and expressions.
Nose: Light and subtly peppery barley, with layers of toffee and iris following on.
Palate: Softly spiced once again as it opens, leading to hints of cinnamon and banana.
Finish: White grape, caramel and a slight suggestion of mineral-rich smoke.
