A limited edition bottling from the English Whisky Co., released to commemorate the birth of HRH Prince Louis of Cambridge in April 2018. He’s barely a month old and he’s got a whisky named after him. I’m way older and all that’s been named after me is a sandwich (which I had to do myself, and it hasn’t really caught on anywhere else).
Nose: Sweet with warm vanilla. Toffee, apricots and mixed spices. Hints of figs, dates, cloves and oranges. Subtle banana aroma as well as brandysnaps! Very complex.
Palate: Creamy and spicy. The vanilla and toffee come through as well as the cloves and mixed spice. Lovely aroma of crème brulee and bread and butter pudding. The brandysnaps again make an appearance. Lovely long, rich finish.
