It’s the 2019 release of the much-loved yearly Small Batch Barrel Strength expression from Four Roses! The annual bottling is released in commemoration of National Bourbon Month. Four Roses is all about transparency, and we know that from the 10 bourbon recipes at the distillery, this bottling marries of a blend of OBSV, OESK and OESV. A limited 13,440 bottles have been released at barrel strength, weighing in at 56.3% ABV. Just like every other year, this wonderful bourbon doesn’t disappoint.

Four Roses Small Batch – Barrel Strength 2019

Nose: Clove-studded orange, fresh custard and raspberry jam, with buttery caramel, fresh peach and a touch of pine. Cinnamon-spiced stewed apple makes an appearance.
Palate: A rich, oily mouthfeel, with sweet and spicy notes balancing well. Candied ginger and more of that custard, with tinned peach, damp oak and honey.
Finish: Sweet cinnamon and peppery oak, with tobacco and more creamy vanilla lingering.
