Single cask single malt from the Glen Spey distillery, independently bottled by the folks from A.D. Rattray. This one aged in a sherry butt for 20 years, from December 1997 to September 2018, and was bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 556 bottles.
Nose: Buttery barley, chocolate chip muffin, sugarcane and cinnamon sticks.
Palate: Brown sugar and chewy dates, with a nutty edge. Lingering cinnamon, now paired with a hint of nutmeg.
Finish: Almond flakes, honeyed cereal, plum and good chocolate cake.
