Single malt whisky from the Langatun distillery in Switzerland, bottled at cask strength. Their ’Old Bear’ expressions are made using peated malt aged in Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine casks, while their ’Old Deer’ expressions are made unpeated.
Langatun Old Bear Smoky Cask Proof
Nose: Fresh smoke, with underlying red fruit and waxy orange.
Palate: Juicy grapes, toffee, wood smoke.
Finish: Long with dark chocolate coming to the fore, still quite smoky.
