An aromatic Allt-á-Bhainne here, independently bottled by Wemyss Malts. This was distilled in 1993 and set aside to mature in a single hogshead until 2016, when it was bottled with an outturn of 228 bottles.
Nettle and Jasmine Tea 1993 (bottled 2016) – Wemyss Malts (Allt-á-Bhainne)
Nose: Honey’d cereal, vegetal oak leading into black tea and eucalyptus.
Palate: Soft orchard fruit and fizzy orange. A hint of drying spices develop.
Finish: White chocolate and fresh barley.
