This 19-year-old single malt Scotch whisky was independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of the Connoisseurs Choice range on 21st June 2018. It was distilled at the Pultney distillery all the way up in the Highlands and aged in a single first-fill bourbon barrel (cask 18/049) which was laid down in 1998. Just 192 bottles were produced at 57.5% ABV each.
Nose: Exotic fruit and dried banana lead among notes of black pepper and bitter herbs with touches of citrus underneath.
Palate: Light touches of sweet cereal and fresh peach bring delicate, rounded elements to thick notes of honey-smoked cured meats, salty brine and cantaloupe.
Finish: Sticky apricot jam infused with vanilla pod lingers.
