19 year old single malt from the Pultney distillery all the way up in the Highlands, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. This was drawn from a pair of first-fill bourbon barrels, laid down in 1998 and cracked open in March 2018. 528 bottles were produced as part of the Connoisseurs Choice range.
Nose: Salty ham and oatcakes, with a sweeter hint of apple chutney along the way.
Palate: Lime, thyme honey, mineral-y barley and soft cedar notes.
Finish: Lingering fizzy oak salinity and citrus peels.
