Huzzah – a bottle of Pulteney 2005 bottled for the MacPhail’s Collection! This indie single malt Scotch whisky was distilled by the good folk at Pulteney distillery, before it was bottled at 43% in 2017. Lovely stuff.
Pulteney 2005 (bottled 2017) – The MacPhail’s Collection (Gordon & MacPhail)
Nose: Banoffee pie, fresh oak and toasted barley.
Palate: Nutty milk chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla and a touch of menthol. There’s sweet peat and a light waft of sea air.
Finish: Short, sweet and warm.
