It’s not often you see an indie bottling from the Pulteney distillery, is it? Well, feast your eyes upon this 2006 vintage single malt from said Pulteney distillery, aged in a single sherry hogshead until 2017, when it was bottled by Malts of Scotland. A release of 295 bottles.
Nose: Hot cross buns, stem ginger and a touch of chocolate spread.
Palate: Light smoke wafts in, joining notes of Demerara sugar, Jamaican Ginger Cake and honeycomb.
Finish: Citrus-y and sweet on the finish.
