27 year old single grain from the Strathclyde distillery in Glasgow, finished in an octave cask. This was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2017 following a 9 month finishing period in the aforementioned octave. It was bottled by Duncan Taylor with an outturn of 68 bottles.
Nose: Sherried orange peel, vanilla toffee, toasted teacakes and whipped cream.
Palate: Fruity molasses and a hint of cigar box. Dark chocolate and a whisper of salted caramel.
Finish: Drying on the finish, though still somewhat fruity.
