A single cask bottling of 30 year old single grain from Strathclyde, independently bottled by Hunter Laing. This whisky was distilled in 1987 and set aside to age in a refill hogshead for three decades before being bottled at 50.7% ABV. 175 bottles were produced for The Sovereign series.
Nose: Lemon meringue pie, molasses, honey and mature oak.
Palate: Fruity esters and melted chocolate, with a whiff of tobacco underneath.
Finish: Vanilla tablet, peach, pineapple.
