Mellow Gold is a 2015 addition to the Famous Grouse blended Scotch whisky range which leans a little more on the Sherried side of things than their . Created by Master Blender Gordon Motion, this is made using both bourbon and sherry seasoned-casks. Lots of creamy vanilla and orange zest, with touches of dark chocolate and sultana.
Nose: Almond, cocoa, orange peel and dried fruits.
Palate: Sultanas emerge first, followed by toffee pennies and digestive biscuits.
Finish: Yet more orange peels, with a final hint of cinnamon spice.
