25 year old single malt whisky, bottled by Michel Courveur and bestowed the Very Sherried name – for obvious reasons. The whiskies from Michel Courveur’s selection are distilled in Scotland before being shipped over to Burgundy for maturation. This particular edition was distilled in 1991 and bottled quarter of a century later.
Nose: Rum-soaked fruit, Black Forest gateau, coffee and menthol.
Palate: Kirsch, cigar box, sugared almond, damp oak. Grows spicier as it develops, with notes of cinnamon and clove.
Finish: Lingering Christmas spices and dark chocolate.
