This is a single cask bottling of single malt from the Bladnoch distillery, drawn from a hogshead which matured the whisky from 1990 to 2016. It was independently bottled by the wonderful Wemyss folks, and bestowed the title ’Apple Syllabub’ to give us an idea of its flavour profile. A release of 196 bottles.
Nose: Lemongrass, flaky pastry, peaches and runny honey.
Palate: Baked goods, green peppercorn, a touch of oily smoke, white grapes.
Finish: Burnt sugar and peppermint.
