Applewood Bake 1988 (bottled 2015) – Wemyss Malts (Invergordon)

An indie bottling of rather well-aged single grain Scotch whisky from the Invergordon distillery, matured in a single butt cask. It was distilled in 1988 and set aside to age until 2015, when it was bottled by Wemyss Malts. They’ve given it a mouthwatering name to allude to the whisky’s flavour profile – this one’s called Applewood Bake. 697 bottles were produced.
