An independent bottling of 1998 vintage Auchentoshan single malt Scotch whisky, presented as part of the Pearls of Scotland range. Auchentoshan is, of course, of the wonderful Lowland distilleries, and they’re well known for triple-distilling their spirit, making it rather elegant and light. Distilled in September of 1998 and bottled in May 2015 – 590 bottles were produced.
Nose: Citrus blossom, honey atop a digestive biscuit and a whisper of fresh herbs.
Palate: More fresh, floral notes here, with rounded notes of sugared almond and lemon sweeties.
Finish: Medium length with a prickle of white pepper.
