Bowmore 14 Year Old 2002 (cask 8) – Benchmark (Murray McDavid)

This 14 year old Bowmore single malt was independently bottled by Murray McDavid – whom have quite a penchant for whiskies with interesting finishes. For example, the aforementioned Bowmore you see before your eyes was distilled in 2002 and aged initially in a bourbon hogshead before being transferred over to a red wine cask from a famed Premier Grand Cru Château for a finishing period, then bottled in 2017 with an outturn of 340 bottles.
